Providing Outreach
Matt Talbot works to connect people to resources that take care of the whole person. Our extensive outreach and advocacy programs assist individuals with basic, emergency, and health needs.
Showers and Laundry Services
Showers and laundry services for the homeless are available Monday - Friday by appointment only. Personal care items are available to guests using the shower facilities.
Please come to Matt Talbot during regular outreach times (Monday - Friday 11 am - 1 pm and 5 - 6:30 pm) for registration and orientation. If you have questions you can call (402) 477-4116 or send an email to info@mtko.org.
Haircuts are offered periodically at Matt Talbot. We have a small number of vouchers for haircuts available every month. If you are interested, please speak with an outreach team member or call 402-477-4116.
Foot Care Clinic
A Foot Care Clinic is offered at Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach periodically by visiting physician assistants and nursing students from Union College. They provide foot care education to adults while soaking participants feet and trimming their toenails. Individuals who participate receive free socks monthly, and a pair of free shoes every 12 months.

Haircuts
Messages, Mail, and Phone Services
Guests are able to use Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach as their mailing address and use the organization's courtesy phone and message board for communication.

Gasoline Vouchers
Gasoline vouchers are available the first business day of every month at 8:30 AM on a first come, first served basis. Vouchers are valued at $20 and each licensed driver is eligible once every six months. Driver must be present, have proof of insurance, a valid driver’s license and current registration.
Information and Referral
In addition to being a safe place of refuge, Matt Talbot works to connect people to resources that take care of the whole person - providing beyond basic needs to embolden people to have hope.
Outreach staff provides information and referrals to guests who may benefit from services offered at agencies in the community. Because many people experiencing homelessness or near homelessness come to Matt Talbot for meals, other human service agencies serving people in poverty come to Matt Talbot's dining room to offer information and services.
