Our Services

Everyone is welcome to walk through our open doors and get a hot prepared meal twice a day, every day of the year. Lunch is served from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm and dinner is served from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm. The Fresh Choice Pantry is open 4 days a week, and pre-packaged food pantries are also available.

Working toward a bold vision to defeat hunger and homelessness, our housing program uses evidence-based best practices to secure safe and stable housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness.

Addressing Addiction

Free substance evaluations, counseling, weekly AA meetings, and alcohol & drug education classes help those who struggle with substance use and addiction.

American Life Hosts Golf Tournament, Raises $30,000 for Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach

American Life hosted the 1st Annual American Life Charity Golf Scramble on August 4, 2025, at Wilderness Ridge Country Club. Thanks to the generous sponsors, teams, and volunteers, the event raised $30,000, enough to cover 75% of the cost of the 8,926 nutritious, prepared meals served at Matt Talbot in August.

“American Life shows up for our community in so many ways,” said Alynn Sampson, Executive Director. “We are grateful for their partnership and for this generous gift.”

Matt Talbot provided nearly 250,000 meals last year through on-site prepared meals and food pantries – a 59% increase over the past five years. An average of 246 onsite meals are served every day, with staff assisting over 3,000 individuals through more than 55,000 outreach and homeless prevention services annually.
