Our COVID-19 Response

To our community:

Here is a quick note to update you on Matt Talbot's response to ongoing pandemic.

The most important thing for you to know is that our commitment to serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness and near homelessness with dignity and compassion during the COVID-19 pandemic is ongoing and strong.

Our facility is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 6:30 pm with lunch and dinner provided every day of the week. We are grateful to be able to remain open, especially during these cold winter months. We are following guidance issued by the Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department and require all staff, volunteers, and guests to wear a mask while at the facility. Individuals eating or drinking or seated to eat or drink are not required to wear a mask and we are encouraging distancing when possible.

All housing & case managment, mail distribution, street outreach, counseling, and substance use evaluation services are ongoing with precautions taken to mitigate the risk of virus transmission. Alcohol and drug education classes are suspended this month.

You can learn more about our response here. We will continue to monitor the news related to the current surge of the omicron COVID-19 variant and make necessary accommodations.

Thank you for your support. Stay safe!

Sincerely,

Susanne Blue, MSW, Exeuctive Director
