Matt Talbot Receives Grant from Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation

The Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation awarded a grant of $10,000 to Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach for the Hunger Relief Program. 

"We serve more than 110,000 meals annually so this grant is truly a blessing to our agency and the guests we serve," said Susanne Blue, Executive Director. "Many times guests will come to Matt Talbot to meet their basic need of food, but while here will learn about other programs that can improve their lives."

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is a hunger relief and outreach center for the homeless and near homeless. Everyone is welcome to come and get a hot nutritious meal two times a day, every day of the year. While on site for a meal, guests can learn about the other outreach and homeless prevention services available at Matt Talbot such as case management, assistance with acquiring vital identification documents, housing, substance use counseling & evaluations, message and mail services for those who are homeless, shower and laundry services, and assistance with basic and emergency needs. It is a safe and welcoming place where those struggle can find respite, hope and pathways to greater self-sufficiency. 

The Nebraska Presbyterian Foundation's envisions a world where every person has the opportunities, the knowledge, the courage and the support to be the best version of themselves. They accepts grant applications during two annual grant cycles and supports many agencies throughout the Lincoln community.
