Heather Rhoden Joins Matt Talbot as Alcohol & Drug Counselor

Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach is pleased to welcome Heather Rhoden, PLADC, our newest Alcohol & Drug Counselor. Heather grew up in North Platte and has lived in Lincoln for 20 years. She is married to Mark and has 4 children (14, 17, 24, 27), 2 step children (23,  28), and 4 grandsons.  Heather has worked at St. Monica's, Mental Health Association with the REAL Program and prior to Matt Talbot she worked at Associates In Counseling and Treatment. Heather believes we all have our own stories and that if we take the time to listen and hear others, we will find we all have something in common. She believes there is hope for everyone! Heather has always had a passion for helping others as she believes there is nothing we should ever have to go through alone. Heather says she brings her own personal and professional history into what she does and when she says "I get it" she really does. Her kids often tell her "you’re doing too much" but what she is trying to teach them is you can never do too much with kindness and love in your heart. Heather loves spending time with her grandkids, watching her kids play sports, cooking, hanging out with her girlfriends and date nights with her husband. Oh and she LOVES to eat out! We LOVE that she is part of our team!
