Matt Talbot is November Beneficiary of Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program

The Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program, which launched in November 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities customers live and work.

Matt Talbot was selected as the November beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Hy-Vee located at 70th & Pioneers. Matt Talbot will receive a $1 donation every time a Reusable Bag is purchased at this location during November, unless otherwise directed  by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.

"We are honored and excited to be selected for this program," said Susanne Blue, Executive Director. "Each bag purchased will help us achieve our mission of defeating hunger & homelessness and restoring hope."

Founded in 1992, Matt Talbot is a hunger relief and outreach center that provides beyond basic needs to embolden people to have hope. Annually Matt Talbot provides over 110,000 nutritious meals to the hungry in Lincoln and nearly 40,000 homeless prevention services such as housing, substance use evaluations, life skills classes, nutrition counseling, and help with obtaining vital identification documents.
