Director of Housing & Outreach Programs
Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach (MTKO) is seeking a qualified, mission-driven individual to serve as Director of Housing & Outreach Programs.
The Director of Housing & Outreach Programs is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing outreach and housing programs. The position provides supervision of housing and outreach staff by providing oversight of the day-to-day outreach and housing operations at MTKO. This position also includes monitoring guest disturbances, staffing capacity, and recommendations for planning purposes. The Director of Housing & Outreach Programs implements management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Planning, assigning, directing work, and appraising performance
- Representing MTKO at community meetings
- Training and updating staff on relevant changes related to coordinated entry, HUD guidelines, and the local Continuum of Care.
This is a full-time salaried exempt position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits in a team centered flexible environment. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Education and/or Experience: LCSW/MSW/BSW/BS or equivalent experience. Masters preferred. A minimum of 3 years of management/supervisory experience and knowledge of homelessness is required. Previous case management experience and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred. Excellent organizational and prioritization skills and knowledge of community resources including the Homeless Service Provider Network is a plus. Valid Nebraska driver’s license with access to a personal vehicle with current insurance that can be used for agency business.
