Food for Thought

On September 6, 1992 Matt Talbot served it's first meal to the hungry and homeless of Lincoln.  More then twenty-five years and 2 million meals later, Matt Talbot is now a permanent fixture of Lincoln's safety net with volunteers providing meals and professional staff offering a wide range of outreach services to prevent and alleviate homelessness.

Ariel is a guest who comes to Matt Talbot with her daughter for meals and outreach services.

“Matt Talbot has helped me tremendously over the past decade. I'm so grateful for the help, especially for the meals, hygiene products, art classes (which I love), hair cuts, diapers for my daughter and a place to just relax and feel safe. The staff has made a difference in my life. I thank God for this place.”  - Ariel
